The Best of the McBride Tribe outa Texas,
Have always been Great OLD Bikers
I wonder if I ever told you, dear Son, about when I was 15… your GrandUncle Jack took me dirt riding with his Buds, in the Desert outside Denver, on a 250Scrambler. We were herding jackrabbits, and before I knew we’d left the ground, we’d landed softly to a stop, only to be amazed at the searchlighted view of the Stars. He turned around and told me that I was the First Rider to survive ‘deadman jump’, and he was proud that the Woman who did it was His Favorite Niece. Being his ONLY Niece at the time, I said, yeah, butt……I coulda wiped us both out! And he said, “Nah…I knew you wouldn’t panic.”
I remember Jackson as a 20-something KoreanWarVet, and learned to worship trustworthy heroes because of him.
